Summer Workshop: Oil Pastel á la John Valadez

This summer the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego is partnering with The Athenaeum’s School of the Arts to offer a week-long oil pastel class which will focus on still-life, landscape, technique, and portraits inspired by the exhibition Santa Ana Condition: John Valadez, the first survey exhibition of important Mexican-American artist and muralist John Valadez. In addition to the class, tuition also includes a guided tour by John Valadez of his exhibition, lecture tickets to the John Valadez Introductions lecture on July 19 at the Museum, and admission to the Museum for the entire week. The instructor for this class is Susan Osborn.

Classes will take place from 10 AM-2:30 PM on Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26 at the La Jolla Studio at 1008 Wall Street. The cost for this program is $195 for MCASD Members and $210 for Non-Members.
