An Outside Perspective: The Art and Science of The Sea of Cortez

Saturday, Nov 02, 2013 - 1:00 PM-3:00 PM

There are multiple entry points into the world of contemporary art. An Outside Perspective invites visitors to explore exhibitions by hearing from a specialist in another field of knowledge: music, film, architecture, and even science. Artist Dana Montlack photographs the microscopic life in the Sea of Cortez and has developed a working relationship with scientists at Scripps Institute of Oceanography and Birch Aquarium. Join us for a conversation about her research and the sea life that inspires her.

This program is free with paid Museum admission.
