Field Trip: Tijuana's Art and Cultural Scene

Friday, Oct 19, 2018 - 9:00 AM

The group will depart from MCASD Downtown shortly after 9 AM.

Join us for an exploration of Tijuana’s art and culture scene! This day trip will begin with a visit to CECUT, where the group will be welcomed by Director General Pedro Ochoa. Together we'll explore the exhibition Árbol de Huesos featuring the Mexico City-based artist Sandra Pani. Following our tour, we'll explore artist Daniel Ruanova's solo show Translocating Borders with the artist himself. We’ll break for lunch at Cubo Bistro, a Plascencia family-owned restaurant, and end the day with tours of artist-run space Deslave and the studios of Aldo Guerra and Oslyn Whizar. Secure your spot quickly—this trip is expected to sell out.
