Extended School Partnership Showcase > Charter School of San Diego

Thursday, Feb 15, 2018-Friday, Feb 23, 2018

The Extended School Partnership (ESP) program invites teachers and students from schools across San Diego County to consider the Museum as an extension of their classroom by integrating the arts into core curriculum studies. Each school and cohort of teachers works together with our Museum educators to develop a curriculum that uses contemporary art and exhibitions on view as a catalyst for both creative thinking and making.

This fall, students from Charter School of San Diego were invited to explore the exhibition Memories of Underdevelopment: Art and the Decolonial Turn in Latin America, 1960-1985. Students created original works of art in response to the processes, materials, and themes used by the artists in the exhibition. Celebrate the students’ work at these upcoming Showcase events held during our monthly, free program, Downtown at Sundown.
