Join assistant curator Alana Hernandez and artist Glendalys Medina for a conversation on Instagram Live as part of the charlas series. The Charlas present conversations between exhibition curator Hernandez and contemporary artists where they will discuss their practice in relation to the works presented in the digital exhibition Experiments on Stone: Four Women Artists from the Tamarind Lithography Workshop.

Glendalys Medina is an Afro-Caribbean Nuyorican conceptual interdisciplinary visual artist who was born in Puerto Rico and raised in the Bronx. Medina received an MFA from Hunter College, New York and has presented artwork at such notable venues as Pérez Art Museum Miami; Participant Inc., New York; Artists Space, New York; The Bronx Museum of Art, New York; El Museo del Barrio, New York; The Museum of Contemporary Art, Vigo, Spain; and The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York, among others. Medina is currently a professor at the School of Visual Art’s MFA Art Practice program and lives and works in New York.
