Axline Lecture

The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and The San Diego Museum of Art will host the 19th annual Axline Lecture featuring internationally acclaimed artist Trevor Paglen. Paglen is the subject of the mid-career survey Trevor Paglen: Sites Unseen, currently on view at MCASD Downtown.

Paglen blurs the lines between art, science, and investigative journalism to construct unfamiliar and at times unsettling ways to see and interpret the world around us. Employing a range of techniques and technologies, his work explores issues surrounding secrecy, privacy, and government surveillance.

This program is free for students and Members of both museums, and $15 for non-members. MCASD Members may reserve their tickets using their secure login.
