WHAT: Eccentricity Has Room: Artists from the MFA Program UC San Diego presents the 13 graduating artists from the UC San Diego Department of Visual Arts Master of Fine Arts program, whose works represent a range of critical investigations that turn inward, grappling with the schisms between lived and perceived experience. Seen together, these works reflect not only the cultivation of their individual practices, but also the community and camaraderie that they built along the way.

WHO: Artists include: Sarah Farnsworth, Tanner Gilliland-Swetland, Cole Goodwin, Grace Mae Huddleston, Yasmine Kasem, Abe King, Lisa Korpos, Jesus Eddy Miramontes, Casey Polacheck, Maya VanderSchuit, Sam Wohl, Zebulon Zang, and Paolo Zuñiga. The exhibition is co-curated by UC San Diego Art History Theory and Criticism Ph.D. students Erika Barbosa and Viona Deconinck with MCASD Assistant Curator Anthony Graham.

Eccentricity Has Room: Artists from the MFA Program at UC San Diego is organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and the University of California San Diego Department of Visual Arts. Institutional support of MCASD is provided by the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture and the County of San Diego Community Enhancement Fund.

MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART SAN DIEGO

Founded in 1941, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) is the preeminent contemporary visual arts institution in San Diego County.
