MCASD PRESENTS THREE NEW SOLO SHOWS OPENING JANUARY 23 AT ITS DOWNTOWN LOCATION

San Diego, CA—On Sunday, January 23, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego will open three new exhibitions—Jennifer Steinkamp: Madame Curie, Raúl Cordero: Hendrickje, and Joan Jonas: The Shape, the Scent, the Feel of Things—at MCASD’s downtown Jacobs Building location.

On the day following the opening, Monday, January 24, Associate Curator Lucía Sanromán will lead a curatorial walkthrough of the exhibition from 1-3 PM. This unique opportunity will offer participants additional commentary about the artists and their work.

Collaborative exhibition features works by Mexican and international contemporary artists in its first U.S. presentation.

San Diego, CA—The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) and the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach will jointly present Mexico: Expected/Unexpected, an exhibition featuring more than 100 artworks selected from CIAC (the Isabel and Agustin Coppel Collection), one of Mexico’s most comprehensive and dynamic contemporary art collections.

MCASD PRESENTS COLLECTION APPLIED DESIGN: A KIM MACCONNEL RETROSPECTIVE, OPENING OCTOBER 9 AT ITS LA JOLLA LOCATION

The first full-career retrospective to be presented in San Diego of this influential artist

San Diego, CA-- On Saturday, October 9, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego will open Collection Applied Design: A Kim MacConnel Retrospective, an exhibition that surveys four decades of work by San Diego-based artist Kim MacConnel. The first full-career retrospective to be presented in San Diego of this influential artist, Collection Applied Design will be on view through January 23, 2011, at MCASD's La Jolla location.

MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART SAN DIEGO PRESENTS FOUR NEW SOLO EXHIBITIONS OPENING MARCH 26 AT ITS DOWNTOWN LOCATION

Local, regional and international emerging artists have been commissioned by MCASD to create new works that respond to the Museum’s downtown Jacobs Building galleries

San Diego, CA—On Friday, March 26, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego will open four new exhibitions—Ruben Ochoa, Lærke Lauta, Cerca Series: Lael Corbin, and Cerca Series: Mara De Luca—at MCASD’s downtown Jacobs Building location.

Each of these exhibitions will feature brand new commissions made specifically for MCASD by four young, emerging artists: Ruben Ochoa (Los Angeles), Lærke Lauta (Copenhagen), Lael Corbin (San Diego), and Mara De Luca (Los Angeles).
