To MCASD in La Jolla

From Interstate 5 South:
  • Exit at La Jolla Village Drive
  • Turn right at the end of the ramp onto La Jolla Village Drive
  • Turn left at the third traffic signal onto Torrey Pines Road
  • Travel approximately 4 miles down a long hill and then back up
  • Turn right at the traffic signal on top of the rise of the road onto Prospect Street

MCASD is located approximately one mile down Prospect Street on the right-hand side. Free two-hour street parking is available in front of the Museum and on nearby cross streets.

From Interstate 5 North or 52 West:
  • Exit at La Jolla Parkway
  • Exit ramps are very long and merge directly into Torrey Pines Road
  • Travel approximately 4 miles down a long hill and then back up
  • Turn right at the traffic signal on top of the rise of the road onto Prospect Street

MCASD is located approximately one mile down Prospect Street on the right-hand side. Free two-hour street parking is available in front of the Museum and on nearby cross streets.

From Interstate 5 South:
  • Exit Sassafras Street/San Diego Airport
  • Ramp merges into Kettner Boulevard
  • Travel approximately 1.5 miles on Kettner Boulevard
From Interstate 5 North:
  • Exit at 6th Avenue
  • Turn left onto 6th Avenue
  • Turn right onto Ash Street
  • Turn left onto Kettner Boulevard
  • Travel approximately 1 ½ blocks
From Interstate 163 South:
  • Exit Ash Street
  • Follow Ash Street to Kettner Boulevard
  • Turn left onto Kettner Boulevard
  • Travel approximately 1 ½ blocks

MCASD’s Jacobs and Copley Buildings are located on the west side of the street at 1100 Kettner Boulevard. MCASD’s 1001 Kettner location is situated diagonally across the street at America Plaza. The Museum is situated next to and across from the Santa Fe Train Depot.

MCASD Downtown does not have a parking lot, however public garages and surface lots are nearby. Metered street parking is also available near the Museum. Street parking meters are not enforced after 6 pm, on Sundays, and certain holidays.
