25 & Under

Are you 25 or under?

We’re glad you’re here. There’s something for everyone, especially you. As owner of two of the greediest organ of all – the human eye – you’ll be happy to know they eat for free at MCASD, where admission is always free for visitors 25 and under, thanks to generous support from our friends at Qualcomm Foundation.

It’s your duty to fulfill the Greedy Organ’s need to feed. Luckily, an art museum is an all-you-can-see buffet for those orbs in your head. Delve deeper into the art with events and workshops designed especially for you.

Ready to Get Seen?

MCASD has launced their second annual 25 and Under Art Contest, inviting people age 25 and under to visit our galleries, get inspired, and create artwork. We are accepting artworks in many mediums, and only ask that you use the Greedy Organ (a.k.a. the human eye, whose visual appetite is rarely sated) as thematic inspiration. Contest submissions are due Monday, April 22, 2013.

Learn how to enter.

See work by the 2012 winner of last year's contest, Lauren Millslagle, and check out this video of last year's showcase event.

MCASD has Two Locations – One for Each Eye

As a constant source of fresh and engaging art, the downtown campus and the La Jolla location are ready to help you Feed Your Greedy Organ. So serve up generous portions of painting, sculpture, new media, works on paper, photography, video, film, and installation art.
