The facilities at MCASD’s La Jolla and Downtown locations can be rented throughout the year, accommodating a wide variety of events for corporations or individuals.
MCASD has two new facilities to add to its roster of unique event spaces. The Jacobs and Copley Buildings can be used for special events in combination or separately. The Strauss Gallery and Figi Family Concourse can comfortably accommodate large groups for standing receptions with a distinctly urban flare. The Berglund Room, with its adjoining Woods Terrace, is a dynamic venue for meetings, lectures, and more intimate gatherings.
In La Jolla, MCASD houses Sherwood Auditorium, a 492-seat proscenium stage theater, perfect for lectures, film screenings and the performing arts. Axline Court, the Museum’s grand enclosed exhibition space, is ideal for elegant dinners. The Coast Room and Miles Terrace boast some of San Diego’s most magnificent ocean views. Finally, the Pacific Union Pocket Park, located on the corner of Cuvier and Coast Boulevard, is quickly becoming a favorite ocean-view ceremony location.
