RENOVATION & EXPANSION : MCASD IN DOWNTOWN SAN DIEGO

MCASD DOWNTOWN
December 16 - April 21, 2002

In 1993, MCASD opened its downtown San Diego branch, located across the street from the historic Santa Fe Depot. Over the next few years, the Museum's downtown presence will expand into the Depot's "Baggage Building" and an adjacent new wing. New York based architect, Richard Gluckman, in association with San Diego architect Wayne Donaldson, have created a landmark historical renovation plan for this site, which will serve as the centerpiece of the downtown cultural space. This exhibition includes drawings, a model of the building, and past projects by the architects.
