This summer the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System will launch a sleek new fleet of cars for their expanded trolley system. Gad Shaanan Design, a local design and product development firm, created the unique look and feel of the cars. In August, the Cerca Series will explore the intricacies of the process involved in large-scale transportation design. Looking at other examples of rail cars designed by the firm as well as their smaller consumer products, the Cerca Series will elaborate the firm's design process and philosophy in an installation environment developed by the GSD team.
