Downtown at Sundown

Thursday, Aug 17, 2017 - 5:00 PM-8:00 PM

Visual and performing arts converge at MCASD’s after-hours offering: Downtown at Sundown. On the third Thursday of every month, enjoy free Museum admission and exhibition tours, DJ-spun tunes, free entry at SDSU Downtown Gallery, drink specials at the adjacent Stone Brewing Company Store, and so much more.

Explore current exhibitions at MCASD with complimentary tours at 5:30 and 6:45 PM.

Take part in Kim Garcia’s Something We Don’t Know: Can You See Us? at the Education and Engagement Hub at 1001 Kettner Blvd. Stay for Cognate Collective's talk on their artistic process at 6 PM.

At the SDSU Downtown Gallery, view the exhibition We Are Here/Estamos Aqui and enjoy a performance by Ethics, an electronic R&B cross-border duo from Tijuana. They’ll perform a live set in the galleries from 6:30 to 7 PM.

Neighborhood restaurants, including Aaharn Thai, Carnivore, Waters, and The Stone Brewing Store, stay open late for you to get a taste of Downtown. Our Copley Patio is open for you to bring your dinner and then take advantage of free re-entry.

Grab your friends and head downtown to explore all the Core Columbia neighborhood has to offer!
