At MCASD, all school tours are lead by Gallery Guides; a professional corps of art educators and practicing artists. The Museum offers 50-minute guided tours to groups between 10 and 60 students during all open hours. MCASD's highly trained Gallery Guides are skilled at making contemporary art meaningful for student audiences, and facilitating dynamic and engaging art experiences in the Museum's galleries. All guided tours at MCASD support Visual Arts Content Standards for California.

Travel Reimbursement
MCASD offers travel reimbursement up to $200 per class visit for San Diego County and City Schools. Please let the Education Department know at the time of booking that you would like to take advantage of this opportunity. (Reimbursement cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed first with MCASD; reimbursement provided on a first-come, first-serve basis).

Join MCASD's Gallery Guides for free public tours of MCASD's La Jolla and Downtown locations. Tours begin at 2 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and at 6 pm Thursday evenings. No reservations necessary.
