MCASD ARTS PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM    
The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego has created a new opportunity for arts organizations to offer innovative arts programming to broader audiences. MCASD wishes to invite non-profit arts organizations to enter into programming partnerships. Through shared resources and expertise, the goal of these partnerships is to engage new audiences in the contemporary arts and further the artistic purposes of both organizations.

Mutual Benefits
The Partnership may consist of some or all of the following features:
  • Reduced or waived rental fees of MCASD facilities
  • Shared costs and/or shared revenues
  • Shared marketing and public relations
  • Exchanged patron privileges beyond partnership
  • Co-hosted receptions and events related to the program
  • Shared educational opportunities
Guidelines and Criteria
Proposals will only be accepted from non-profit arts organizations whose artistic purpose complements that of MCASD's. Proposals should not exceed three single-sided pages.

Proposals should include the following information:

  • Organization's name
  • Organization's artistic mission
  • Desired outcome of partnership
  • Description of proposed partnership
  • Schedule of program
  • Target audience (audience profile and size)
  • Purpose/Goal of program
  • Program budget and overall organization budget
  • Proposed sharing of resources and benefits between partners
Additionally, please attach the following:
  • 501 ( C ) 3 paperwork with tax ID number
  • List of organization's Board of Trustees
  • List of organization's staff
  • Press or promotional materials
  • Video(s) or DVD(s) if applicable
  • At least two references

Application Procedures
Proposals due February 15th for partnerships beginning no earlier than July of that same year. Selections and notifications will be made by March 15th. Please submit all proposals to:

MCASD receives many more worthwhile proposals than it can manage. Consequently, partnerships can be established with only a relatively small percentage of the many meritorious proposals considered.
